Starting July 1, 2024, Dubai Mall will implement a new paid parking system. Did you know that if you return to the mall on the same day and stay for more than two hours, you can enjoy free parking hours again?
1. What happens if a person exits the parking lot before the free hours are over, and re-enters shortly after that?
When a vehicle enters the designated paid parking area, cameras capture its number plate. The Salik system then processes the image to identify the number plate and its associated account, recording the entry time. Upon exiting, the number plate is scanned again, and the parking fee is calculated based on the time elapsed since entry, with the amount deducted from the user’s Salik account.
Visitors returning to the mall after a two-hour interval will be considered a new entry and eligible for additional free hours. However, for those exiting and re-entering within two hours, it will be treated as a continuation of the previous parking session and charged accordingly based on the rates set by Dubai Mall.
Other aspects of the paid parking system, such as the applicable areas and the billing process for motorists, will also be detailed.
Which parking areas of Dubai Mall will it be applicable in?
The barrier-free parking management system will be implemented at Dubai Mall’s parking zones starting on July 1, 2024. The Salik parking management system will be in effect for Fashion Parking, Grand Parking, and Cinema Parking.

If the motorist’s account is low on credit, will late recharge penalties be applied?
