Arada has announced the start of operations in Australia, marking its first market expansion outside of its native United Arab Emirates. The master developer from Dubai has opened a new office in Pyrmont, a suburb of Sydney, and is currently developing several projects in the most populous city in Australia. With a pipeline of projects valued at AED 6 billion, Arada hopes to help with the urban renewal needed to solve Sydney’s present housing crisis.
Sales and construction for Arada’s first projects, which will add more than 2,500 new homes to the Sydney housing market, will start in 2025. Due to their large land holdings, the sites will have substantial retail and commercial components, which will result in a large number of job opportunities for the neighborhood.
Since its founding, Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Arada, who was born in Australia, has guided the company’s expansion into Australia and oversaw its operations there as well.
Alkhoshaibi commented, “Launching in Australia marks a pivotal moment for Arada as we continue to realise our vision of integrated residential communities that help people lead happier, healthier and more meaningful lives.
“Arada is passionate about delivering activated precincts that deliver a community-based approach to housing supply. Our initial projects in Sydney are strategically located within growth corridors, aligning with local government initiatives to expand housing near transport hubs and minimise strain on existing infrastructure.
“With a strong financial position, an impressive track record and a dedicated local team, we are poised to make a positive impact on our future residents and the communities we serve.”
