Sales of residential units for the first half of 2024 increased significantly, according to the National Housing Company (NHC), reaching SAR13.5 billion.
More than 13,000 units were sold, which is four times more than during the same time last year.
This accomplishment is the result of continuous efforts to provide a comprehensive urban environment that improves the quality of life, with a focus on meeting the housing needs of citizens from all segments of society and across the Kingdom.
The increase in sales can be ascribed to NHC’s introduction of multiple housing projects in various parts of the Kingdom. By raising the homeownership rate to 70%, these projects helped Saudi Vision 2030 achieve its objectives.
The remarkable expansion can be attributed to NHC’s implementation of integrated development in its communities and suburbs, which provides an integrated lifestyle that integrates social, recreational, residential, and health aspects in one location. By boosting the density of green areas and guaranteeing simple access to all amenities and services via secure pathways for bicyclists and pedestrians, NHC has also embraced sustainable urban planning principles. Additionally, it provides appropriate financing options for all categories of citizens.
NHC is the primary force behind the development of urban communities and suburbs in the Kingdom, which is renowned for its high standard of living. By the end of 2025, the company hopes to have built over 300,000 residential units in nine suburbs and six residential communities, covering an area of more than 100 million square meters and housing more than 1.5 million people.
As part of its commitment to expanding the real estate supply with housing options that satisfy international standards, the company also looks to provide solutions for securing high-quality supply chains and more environmentally friendly building materials.
