The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently announced its inaugural award to recognize the outstanding contributions made by establishments, workers, and business service providers to the labor market. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) launched the website for the Emirates Labour Market Award on May 10th, which can be accessed at riyada.mohre.gov.ae. This platform allows establishments and workers to submit their nominations for the award, which aims to showcase the most successful practices in the UAE labor market.
Although the website will only begin accepting nomination applications from June onwards, we have provided the award categories and criteria that will be used to evaluate the nominees. If you are interested in applying for this prestigious award, please read on.
1. Outstanding companies
The initial classification pertains to establishments, and it comprises a grand total of 28 awards that will be bestowed upon small, medium, large, and very large establishments.
Terms and Conditions
When submitting a nomination for your company, it is important to ensure that you meet the following criteria:
– Your company must be registered with the Ministry’s database.
– Your company must have been operating in the labor market for at least two years.
– Your company must not be government-owned.
– Your company must not have been subject to any judicial rulings or penalties for violating UAE labor legislation within the past year.
– Your company must be committed to fulfilling the application requirements and the award’s timeframe.
– If your company has previously won the award, it is not eligible to participate in the award for the next two editions.
– Participation in the award is optional for establishments registered with the Ministry’s database.

2. Outstanding workforce
Under this category, a total of 12 awards will be presented to both skilled and unskilled workers. Nominees can either nominate themselves or be nominated by their employers, government agencies, or the community for their exceptional community efforts.
