If you attended college in the UAE and graduated, you can confirm your documents online through the website of the Ministry of Education.
You could be needed to present an attested education degree or certificate as part of the university application procedure if you are a university graduate applying for a job in the UAE or a postgraduate degree. Graduates of UAE institutions must obtain specific attestations, but they must also follow a different route than those who graduated from universities outside the UAE.
What is the procedure, and when must it be completed? Here is everything you require to know.
What is the attestation process for degrees issued in the UAE?
While degrees from institutions outside the UAE must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC), diplomas from institutions within the UAE must be attested by the Ministry of Education (MOE). The procedure is simple, and you can get your degree attestation in a few days.
While some universities or colleges in the UAE have the degree attested before awarding it to the graduate, other colleges and universities might not follow this procedure. Because of this, it’s crucial to find out if the documents you receive after graduation will be attested by your university’s registrar or administration.
You can finish the attestation process on the MOE website, moe.gov.ae, if your documents are not already authenticated.
Applying for attestation online
The steps you must do to attest to your degree online are listed below:
- Go to the MOE website, moe.gov.ae, and select the “E-services” menu option.
- After arriving at the “Services Catalog” page, select the “Services for Individuals” section and select the first choice, “attestation.”
- Next, select “Request for attestation of academic and professional university qualifications awarded from within the country” under the first section.
- To start the service, click the green button after that.
- After that, sign in using your UAE Pass. Additionally, you can have access to this service by registering a unique MOE online account.
- Since your UAE Pass account and Emirates ID are linked, after you enter into the service with your UAE Pass, your UAE Pass account will immediately fill out the application form’s fields with your information. You will need to manually enter these details if you have a different MOE online account. The only information you would need to provide is as follows:
- Full name
- Nationality
- Unified Number (UID) – this is not mandatory

- Address information: Your Emirate
- Emirates ID number and expiry date
- Click the submit button next.
- After completing the personal information, upload the necessary files, such as a transcript of records or a diploma.
- Finish the procedure by paying for the service.
You will receive the attested document via email if MOE authorizes it.
