The UAE requires an entry permit for anyone planning on visiting for business or tourism purposes. There is, however, a time limit to all entry permits, and if your permit is overstayed, you will face heavy fines. In order to prevent this, you can easily extend your permit by contacting the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP).
On Monday, March 21, ICP posted on their official social media channels about how entry permit holders can make an extension request.
Applicants who wish to extend their stay in the UAE will need to apply for an extension on ICP’s official website – icp.gov.ae – or at a typing center.
If you want to learn more about the process for extending your entry permit, the requirements, and the cost, here is a detailed guide.
The applicant must have a passport that is valid for at least six months in order to obtain this service. When you extend your entry permit, you have the option of extending it for 30 days or for more than 30 days. The fee will vary depending on how long the extension lasts.
