According to reports, the “most expensive plot for sale” in Dubai’s affluent La Mer South neighborhood is a land parcel that has been marketed for Dh160 million.
Plot dimensions are just around 40,000 square feet, according to Eyal Ashur, who has a lot of experience with expensive Jumeirah houses and plots.
The ongoing real estate bubble in Dubai has resulted in notable price increases for the larger La Mer complex; recent sales of apartments and single-family homes have reached all-time highs.
Two condo purchases at La Mer were reported in May; one of the units sold for Dh164 million.
As for plots, along with those on Jumeira Bay island, those on La Mer too have firmed up appreciably. According to Ashur, “The costliest land deal to date at La Mer was for Dh80 million. It was a waterfront plot of 22,345 square foot and selling at Dh3,580 psf.
“The most expensive price per square foot achieved to date at La Mer was actually recorded recently, but for a smaller plot which is not waterfront. It went for Dh31 million at Dh3,816 psf.”
“La Mer South is fast becoming Dubai’s ultimate address for those looking to build their own beachfront legacy. These plots are rare opportunities – they’re not just listings, they’re statements.”
Plots in La Mer South are currently listed for Dh29 and Dh30 million, while homes range in price from Dh50 million to Dh95 million.
