One of the largest project awards of the year in the United Arab Emirates was made when Nakheel was given a Dh2.6 billion contract to construct its Bay Villas in the Dubai Islands.
The contract to construct the more than 600 opulent residences in five different property types on the island development has been awarded to Fibrex Contracting.
Nakheel and Fibrex Contracting collaborated on the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City neighborhood known as District One West.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said: “This development delivers on our vision of designing waterfront communities that prioritise wellbeing, luxury and privacy, all while offering residents an opportunity to enjoy the best of island living.”
The three-story beachfront homes will have a dedicated dining area, a rooftop lounge and patio, a display kitchen, and six bedrooms. The remaining housing types will be divided into garden villas, semi-detached villas, and townhouses situated inside four- to six-home complexes with private gardens, while the waterfront villas are situated on spacious plots.
