Samana Developers, a Dubai-based company, has started its first branded residential project in the Maldives, a Dh2.2 billion luxury project.
The 190-key property, which spans over 507,651 square feet, includes poolside apartments, over-water bungalows, and beachfront villas.
Samana Ocean Views, with interiors by Elie Saab, is 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé or 20 minutes by speedboat from Hanimaadhoo Airport. The completion date is set for 2029.
A spa and wellness center, a variety of dining options, including Arabic and Japanese eateries, an on-site dive center, and watersports facilities are all part of the project.
It also features a fitness center, several pools, and family-friendly entertainment options. With efforts to restore coral included in the project, sustainability is a major factor in the development.
Over 1,000 units have been turned over by Samana Developers, and 10,000 more are being built.
“Deep understanding of Dubai’s economic landscape has propelled us to become the city’s seventh-largest developer. This expertise is now embodied in Samana Ocean Views to create an extraordinary destination where luxury, design, and natural beauty meet,” said Imran Farooq, CEO of Samana Developers.
This is a “significant step” in the company’s planned growth into upscale locations worldwide, according to Elie Saab Jr., CEO of Elie Saab Group.
“The Maldives represents a key addition to our growing global portfolio, as we continue to deliver remarkable projects in strategic locations worldwide,” he said.
