If you have accumulated a significant number of parking or Darb toll fines in Abu Dhabi, there is now a convenient option to settle the amount through interest-free instalments. This new ‘easy payment’ service was launched on Monday, January 8 by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi.
Currently, the service is available to credit card holders from three UAE-based participating banks. However, ITC has plans to expand the service to include more banks by the first half of 2024.
In addition to the installment service, ITC also offers a 25% discount to motorists who pay their parking fines on time. This provides an added incentive for timely payment.
Now, let’s explore how you can take advantage of both of these beneficial services.

25 percent discount on parking fines in Abu Dhabi
To receive a discount on your parking fines in Abu Dhabi, it is crucial to settle the amount within 60 days from the issuance of the parking ticket.
Abu Dhabi’s public parking system, known as ‘Mawaqif,’ offers a convenient solution for paying public parking fines through the official ‘Darb’ app. Here are the steps you should follow:
- Begin by downloading the Darb app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Once downloaded, open the app and sign in using your UAE Pass.
- Locate the ‘Fines’ option on the app menu bar at the bottom of your mobile screen and tap on ‘Mawaqif.’
- The app will automatically identify any fines associated with the vehicle registered under your name and Emirates ID.
- If fines are present on your account, select the violation and proceed to make the payment using your credit or debit card.
While the aforementioned process specifically applies to tickets issued by the ITC, it is worth noting that you can also pay other traffic fines in installments, such as speeding tickets and fines related to lane discipline violations. However, since these fines are issued by Abu Dhabi Police, a different service must be utilized to take advantage of the installment option.
By adhering to these guidelines, you can efficiently settle your parking fines and other traffic violations, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi’s regulations while enjoying the convenience of digital payment methods.
