In July 2024, the Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Registration Department received a total of QR1,105,135,825 in real estate trading volume through sale contracts.
246 real estate transactions were recorded in the month, according to data from the Ministry of Justice’s real estate analytical bulletin, while the number of properties sold index saw a 26% increase.
According to the real estate market index, the municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah had the highest number of transactions in June in terms of financial value. These were followed by Al Dhaayen, Umm Salal, Al Khor and Al Dhakira, and Al Shamal.
According to the July 2024 real estate market index, Doha municipality’s transactions had a total financial value of QR501,422,408. The transactions of Al Dhaayen municipality had a financial value of QR95,205,566 and the transactions of Al Rayyan municipality had a financial value of QR284,996,956. The transactions made by Um Salal municipality had a total financial value of QR80,367,157. The transactions recorded by Al Khor and Al Dhakira municipality had a total financial value of QR23,668,952, whereas the transactions recorded by Al Shamal municipality had a value of QR9,647,598m.
According to indicators pertaining to the traded space index, the municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah were the most active in terms of traded real estate spaces during July 2024. Doha accounted for thirty percent of the total, followed by Al Rayyan municipality with twenty-six percent and Al Wakrah with sixteen percent. Al Khor and Al Dhakira recorded 3% of the total traded spaces, Al Shamal municipality recorded 2%, Um Salal recorded 9%, and Al Dhaayen municipality recorded 14% of the tradings.
When it came to the index of real estate transactions (sold properties), trading indices showed that Doha had the highest percentage of transactions in July at 29%, followed by Al Rayyan at 24% and Al Wakrah at 19%. Out of all real estate transactions, Al Khor and Al Dhakira accounted for five percent, Um Salal for seven percent, Al Dhaayen for thirteen percent, and Al Shamal for three percent.
The following areas had the highest average prices per square foot in July: Doha (384–834), Al Wakrah (258–417), Al Rayyan (335–455), Umm Salal (258–483), Al Dhaayen (271-456), Al Khor and Al Dhakira (233–338), and Al Shamal (141-297).
With 122 mortgage transactions, or 63.2 percent of all mortgaged properties, Doha recorded the highest number of mortgage transactions. Al Rayyan came in second with 37 transactions, or 19.2 percent, followed by Um Salal with 13 transactions, or 6.7 percent, Al Wakrah with 9 transactions, or 4.7 percent, Al Dhaayen with 8 transactions, or 4.1 percent, and Al Khor and Al Dhakira with 4 transactions, or 2.1 percent, of all mortgaged properties in July.
