Three contracts totaling Dh750 million have been given out for the development of Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai. The developer Nakheel has stated that the infrastructure construction is expected to be finished in Q4 2026.
A “significant milestone” in the creation of Dubai’s next premier waterfront attraction, the contracts were given to DBB Contracting. DBB Contracting already has experience working on Palm Jebel Ali, including building roads and making provisions for public access.
According to the redesigned Palm Jebel Ali blueprint, it “underlines the expansion of the emirate and marks the beginning of a new growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area.”
According to Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, “Palm Jebel Ali exemplifies Dubai’s ambition to redefine global waterfront living through an innovative luxury lifestyle mega project.”
The new contracts’ infrastructure scope covers Fronds A through G of the island, including utility connections, all related excavation and backfilling ground works, and the building of roads and pavement.
It also includes associated utility work for telecoms and 11kV power distribution.
The infrastructure projects in the “spine district” involve the development of all major and secondary roads, utility mains, and connections to all utility interconnections on the fronds. (Rough grading for the DEWA power transmission line that serves Palm Jebel Ali, along with related works, is also included in the scope.)
Palm Jebel Ali’s seven islands include over 90 kilometers of beaches and 16 fronds.
