Did you know that you can enjoy a variety of sports, including basketball, padel, tennis, cricket, and football, all in one convenient location? Dubai Sports World (DSW), in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, is a state-of-the-art summer sports complex situated in the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). This year marks the 13th consecutive year that DSW has been open, with its doors officially opening on Thursday, June 1.

Running until September 10, 2023, DSW is an air-conditioned venue that spans over 300,000 square feet in Za’abeel Halls 2-6 at DWTC. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking to try something new, DSW has something for everyone.

While there is no entry fee for DSW, you will need to pay for the sports facilities and activities you wish to participate in. However, there are also some free activities available for families, although registration on the Dubai Sports World app is still required. For more information on all the exciting activities and events taking place at DSW, be sure to check out the details on our website.

Six free family activities for the summer

Dubai Kids World is excited to announce a range of thrilling activities starting from June 15th. These activities include:

  1. Football Pool – a unique combination of football and pool. Players will use their football skills to sink colored balls into the holes of a giant pool table.
    2. Mini Golf
    3. Foosball
    4. Retro Video Games
    5. Giant Jenga
    6. Arm Wrestling

Nine sports activities you can book

Here is a list of all the sporting activities available at the venue:

  1. Football – Six indoor pitches.
    2. Basketball – three indoor courts.
    3. Padel – two indoor courts
    4. Table tennis
    5. Volleyball
    6. Badminton – seventeen indoor courts
    7. Cricket
    8. Tennis – two indoor courts
    9. Pickleball

To reserve a court or pitch at your convenience, simply download the ‘Dubai Sports World’ mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices. Hourly charges apply, and all activities are open to individuals of any age. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to engage in your favorite sports and activities with ease and convenience.

Gym and fitness studio

DSW offers gym packages that provide visitors with complete flexibility, ranging from pay-as-you-go options to full seasonal memberships. However, it is important to note that there is an entry fee for accessing the gym and fitness studio.

Membership cost:

Single Entry (One-time pass) – Dh25
One month membership (30-day pass) – Dh300
Season Membership (100-day pass) – Dh700
There are also group fitness classes, which cost Dh35 per session. The classes start at 7am.

Types of fitness classes

  • HIIT (high-intensity interval training classes)
    • Circuit Training
    • Zumba
    • Martial Arts
    • Yoga
  • Running track

To find out the schedule for the classes and to book a session, you have to download the ‘Dubai Sports World’ mobile app.

How does one sign up?

To access the fantastic sports facilities at Dubai Sports World, you’ll need to download and register on our mobile app. It’s a quick and easy process that will give you access to all the amenities we have to offer. You can sign in using your existing Google or Apple account, or you can create a new account using your email address and providing some basic information such as your full name, mobile number, nationality, and date of birth. Once you’ve entered your details, create a secure password and tap the ‘Create a Profile’ button.

When you’re ready to book your sports facilities, simply present the QR code on the app at the entrance. You’ll only pay for the facilities you book and use, so you can enjoy our world-class amenities without breaking the bank. With our easy-to-use app and top-notch facilities, you’ll be able to take your fitness routine to the next level.

Summer academies for children

There are a total of twelve summer sports academies available for children, offering a wide range of activities such as basketball, football, badminton, and tennis. These academies cater to children between the ages of four and twelve, providing a fun and engaging environment for them to learn and develop their skills. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced athlete, there is something for everyone at these academies.

Timings:

Open seven days a week from 8 am to 12 am.

Location:

The venue is situated in the Arena district of the Dubai World Trade Centre, which is conveniently located on Sheikh Zayed Road. Accessing the area is a breeze, thanks to the nearby Metro station. The Dubai World Trade Centre station on the Red Line is just a short walk away, making it an ideal transportation option for visitors.

Parking:

DSW has provided a list of available parking spots for your convenience. These include:

– Za’abeel Plaza Parking, located outside Za’abeel Hall 6. The cost for this parking spot is Dh5 for two hours, with an additional Dh5 for each hour thereafter.
– Exhibition Street Multi-Story car park, which charges Dh5 per hour.
– Al Mustaqbal Street car park, also charging Dh5 per hour.

It is important to note that these rates are subject to change, so it is recommended to check with the parking facility directly for the most up-to-date pricing information. Additionally, it is always wise to arrive early to secure a parking spot, as availability may be limited during peak hours.

Parking timings:

From 7 am to 1 am on weekdays and weekends.
