In the third quarter of 2024, the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), which oversees and regulates the real estate industry in Abu Dhabi, reported notable advancements at the Real Estate Dispute Settlement Center. The Center’s dispute resolution success rate was 83%.
808 of the 969 cases filed were successfully resolved, and 26% of these conflicts ended in reconciliation. The Center’s dedication to promoting cooperation and trust in the real estate industry and prompt resolutions was evident in the most recent third-quarter report.
Resolving 210 disputes this quarter, with a total reconciled value exceeding AED526 million, was a significant accomplishment. The Center is protecting the financial stability of Abu Dhabi’s real estate market by encouraging peaceful resolutions, avoiding protracted unresolved disputes from undermining industry confidence.
“The continued success of the dispute resolution process shows how we are simplifying the journey for all parties, making the market more transparent and welcoming for investors. We are proud to see more cases ending in reconciliation, which is a cornerstone of our long-term strategy to strengthen collaboration and build trust,” said Rashed Al Omaira, Acting Director-General at ADREC.
In the third quarter, the Center conducted 1,934 dispute resolution sessions, highlighting its proactive approach to conflict resolution. To ensure that all parties involved receive the appropriate legal support, 598 disputes requiring legal intervention were referred to the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department for appropriate oversight.
