Golden Visa holders in the UAE can now enjoy a range of upgraded services aimed at making travel and emergencies smoother, safer, and more convenient. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has rolled out four major updates to enhance the privileges of Golden Visa residents—ensuring they and their families receive priority support no matter where they are in the world.
1. Quick 30-Minute Return Permit for Golden Visa Holders Abroad
Lost your passport while travelling? No need to panic. Golden Visa holders can now get an electronic return permit within just 30 minutes, completely free of charge.
This newly introduced service by MoFA allows you to return to the UAE swiftly and securely. The permit, valid for a single entry, can be applied for via the MoFA website or mobile app using your UAE Pass digital ID.
To apply, you’ll need to upload:
- A copy of your lost passport report
- Your Golden Visa details
- A recent passport-sized photo on a white background
Once approved, the return permit is valid for seven days from the date of issue. Please note—it serves only as an entry permit, not an international travel document. For additional help, you can always reach out to the ministry’s dedicated call centre for real-time guidance.
2. 24/7 Dedicated Hotline for Golden Visa Holders
Travelling abroad? The UAE has your back around the clock. Golden Visa residents can now reach the MoFA call centre directly at +971 2 493 1133 for any inquiries or urgent support—no matter the time zone.
Whether you’re dealing with a travel disruption or an emergency, this hotline ensures that help is always just a call away.
3. Emergency Assistance During Crises
Golden Visa holders are now covered by the UAE’s enhanced emergency and crisis support network. In the event of natural disasters, conflicts, or other emergencies, UAE embassies and consulates will coordinate evacuation support, temporary shelter, or other essential aid.
This means Golden Visa holders are now officially included in the UAE’s international emergency response and evacuation plans, offering extra peace of mind while abroad.
4. Repatriation and Burial Support
In the unfortunate event that a Golden Visa holder passes away overseas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will assist with repatriation and burial arrangements.
This includes liaising with local authorities to simplify procedures, expedite the return process, and provide compassionate support to grieving families. The goal is to ensure dignity, respect, and timely help during such sensitive times.
Continuous Support, Wherever You Are
MoFA’s Emergency and Crisis Support Service for Golden Visa holders remains active across all destinations. The ministry works hand-in-hand with UAE missions worldwide to deliver immediate, on-the-ground assistance—ensuring citizens and residents always have a trusted safety net, wherever life takes them.
