From January to June (H1) of this year, 788 mortgage transactions totaling QR19.314 billion were registered in Qatar’s real estate market.
This year, there were 354 mortgage transactions totaling QR9.277 billion in the second quarter (Q2), compared to 434 transactions totaling QR10.037 billion in the first quarter (Q1).
With 119 mortgage transactions, or 33.6 percent of all mortgaged homes, Doha Municipality had the most mortgage transactions, followed by Al Rayyan Municipality with 97 transactions, or 27.4 percent.
According to Ministry of Justice data, Al Wakrah Municipality came in second with 49 transactions, or 13.8% of all mortgaged properties.
In Q2, 2025, Doha Municipality recorded the highest mortgage value at QR5.881 billion, while Al Sheehaniya Municipality recorded the lowest value at QR780,000.
Doha Municipality has the most amount, reaching QR11.785bn, compared to Q2-2024, while Al Shamal Municipality has the lowest, reaching QR7,552,427.
Doha Municipality had the highest mortgage value in the first quarter, totaling QR5.313 billion, while Al Sheehaniya Municipality had the lowest, at QR637,000.
With a total of QR7.267 billion, Al Rayyan Municipality came in first place when compared to Q1-2024, while Al Shamal Municipality came in last with QR3,619,959.
