UAE enters top 10 list of world's most influential countries

On the international stage, the UAE keeps proving its worth. The UAE is currently among the top 10 most influential nations in the world after recently being declared one of the world’s ten safest nations.

The UAE is ranked ninth among powerful nations in the FutureBrand’s Country Index for 2020. It improves from 16th in 2019. In terms of the most influential cities in the world, Dubai is ranked ninth.

The FutureBrand’s Country Index ranks nations according to public perceptions of those nations, taking into account local perspectives.

As one of the most significant economic hubs in the Middle East, the report referred to the UAE as “a regional powerhouse, this small but ambitious nation is most definitely one to watch.”

The National reported that two important findings were that 55% of respondents wanted to travel to the UAE in the next five years and that 71% of respondents were pleased with how the nation handled the pandemic, citing effective government communication as a major reason.

The UAE on the global stage

The UAE is not only one of the most powerful and secure nations in the world, but it’s also one of the best places to live, and we have the statistics and awards to prove it.

In the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards in October, Dubai was ranked as the world’s 12th best destination. Lonely Planet has listed Dubai as one of the top 10 cities to visit in 2020.

Additionally, it was ranked as the second best city in the world for driving and the sixth greatest city in the world overall (as well as the finest city in the Middle East) in this January report.

Dubai was ranked 15th globally and first in the Middle East and Africa in the KnightFrank’s City Wellbeing Index, which was published in March.
