Aldar Properties (Aldar) unveiled Athlon, a first-of-its-kind “active living” community in Dubai.
With top-notch amenities and a dynamic activity schedule hand-picked by wellness specialists, the development reimagines fitness-focused living to promote everyone’s long-term well-being and a strong sense of community.
Athlon is the joint venture’s second ground-breaking residential project in Dubai, following the highly successful Haven by Aldar, which debuted in late 2023. It was developed in collaboration with Dubai Holding, a diversified worldwide investment company with holdings in 31 countries.

The luxurious and lush development, which is next to Global Village in a highly sought-after location, is characterized by the smooth integration of interactive green spaces, which include vibrant parks, green walkways, and athletic areas. It also offers activities catered to all age groups and interests.
Athlon, named after the Greek word for “place of contest,” is a masterfully planned community centered around a captivating central park that serves as the community’s hub. It also includes seven clubhouses and four more parks that have been thoughtfully designed. Adventure, Play, Wellness, and Valley are the names of the parks that are specifically designated for socializing and fitness. With over 10 kilometers of paths, trails, and loops—including a cycling loop that connects to Al Qudra’s famous track—the community provides countless chances for jogging, cycling, rollerblading, and functional training.
Athlon has thoughtfully considered the whole emotional and psychological spectrum of wellness, from physically demanding activities to those that prioritize wellbeing, sports, play, and socializing, for the good of its residents, guests, and employees. With features like smart waste disposal systems, electric vehicle charging stations, water and energy-saving fixtures, and easy access to public transportation, the development has attained LEED Platinum pre-certification. Athlon has further enhanced the social value of the community by promoting health, wellbeing, and active lifestyles. Fitwel, the world’s leading certification system dedicated to building health for all, has awarded the organization a 2-star rating.
On May 7, sales of the first phase of the development will begin, with prices beginning at AED 2.8 million.
