The Sustainable City launches The Sustainable Homes

The Sustainable City, the first sustainable community in the Middle East, has launched a collection of eco-friendly short-stay studio apartments within The Sustainable City, Dubai.

Visitors, residents, and international tourists can experience sustainable living and enjoy Dubai with a significantly reduced carbon footprint with these Homes.

Sustainability was at the core of the design of the contemporary studio apartments. Building complexes were designed with highly insulated materials and are powered by rooftop solar panels. Studios are provided with filtered drinking water to reduce the use of single-use plastics, and to facilitate the recycling of waste, they are equipped with two garbage cans (recyclables and other trash).

Low-flow fixtures, as well as water- and energy-efficient washing machines, are standard in Sustainable Homes. Room cleaning services use environmentally friendly products.

In order to promote sustainable practices, guests can monitor their water and energy consumption during their stay with an energy meter, receiving a carbon footprint statement upon checkout.

Guests of the Sustainable Homes will have access to the urban farm and animal sanctuary along the green spine inside The Sustainable City, as well as running and cycling trails.

The building’s roof has been turned into a green relaxation area, which can be accessed by guests.
