The Sharjah Sustainable City has reached a sales milestone of Dh2.5 billion

Over Dh2.5 billion in sales have been made in all four phases of Sharjah Sustainable City, the first sustainable master-planned residential community created by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in collaboration with Diamond Developers.

This milestone highlights the growing demand and awareness for sustainable living solutions, as there are now only a small number of the original 1,250 villas remaining. Additionally, it offers potential purchasers one last chance to reserve a villa in this coveted sustainable community.

This accomplishment is in line with Sharjah’s real estate market, which is propelling the emirate’s economic expansion. In the first half of 2024, the value of real estate transactions in the emirate increased by 35.6% when compared to the same period in 2023. Sharjah Sustainable City is pleased to be a part of this encouraging trend that is drawing attention from buyers and investors and increasing their faith in Sharjah’s real estate industry. This achievement highlights Sharjah’s special benefits.

The city satisfies the highest standards of social, environmental, and economic sustainability and is a model of mixed-use development. Its accomplishments demonstrate how it has piqued the interest of people and families ready to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle and support its larger commitment to reaching Net Zero Energy.

Yousif Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Sustainable City, said: “As a strategic supporter of the Government of Sharjah’s sustainable development objectives, we are thrilled by the overwhelming response to Sharjah Sustainable City — a clear indicator of the rising demand for sustainable living solutions in Sharjah. We are proud to see our vision of an eco-conscious community resonating so strongly with residents and investors from different countries. As we welcome more residents, we look forward to continuing to set new benchmarks for sustainable urban development and making our city a globally renowned development.”

The community, which spans more than 7.2 million square feet and is located in Sharjah’s Al Rahmaniya neighborhood, offers a variety of facilities to encourage a sustainable way of life, such as urban farming, large green areas, bike and walking paths, fitness centers, EV charging stations, and a library. Along with other sustainable measures like thermally insulating building materials, smart home automation, energy-saving electrical fittings, and rooftop solar PVC installations, all of the villas are also smart homes with energy-efficient kitchen appliances that help save up to 50% on utility bills.
