Aldar Properties signs strategic agreement with Abu Dhabi Residents Office regarding Golden Visas and loyalty benefits

In order to improve the services and options available for Abu Dhabi Golden Visa holders, the Abu Dhabi Residents Office, a division of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Aldar Properties PJSC, the city’s top provider of real estate development, management, and investment.

In accordance with the agreement, the Abu Dhabi Residents Office and Aldar Properties are working together to build a plan to market Abu Dhabi, and its portfolio of real estate developments, and to find ways to support talent and investors.

When Aldar clients buy a property worth more than Dh2 million from the variety of options offered through Aldar’s projects, including Yas Acres, Mayan, Louvre Abu Dhabi Residences, and more, the Abu Dhabi Residents Office will assist them in applying for a Golden Visa.

In addition to receiving benefits from the Darna loyalty programme, the partnership offers Abu Dhabi residents with Golden Visas a 2% discount when buying specific properties directly from Aldar as well as unique priority registration at specific schools connected to Aldar Academies.

As a result of their shared commitment to attracting and keeping skilled and talented people, the two sides will also undertake joint measures to promote Golden Visas in Abu Dhabi and other initiatives linked to luring and keeping talents in the Emirate.

Hareb Al Mheiri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Residents Office said: “This agreement aligns with the Office’s strategic goals that seek to facilitate the affairs of Abu Dhabi residents, by helping them to settle and integrate into society and developing a number of smart services and benefits that enhance their lifestyle. This partnership will also affirm our efforts to attract top talents from across the world to the Emirate, which is one of the world’s most preferable cities to live and work.

This agreement further enhances Abu Dhabi’s attractive position as an investment hub, particularly in the real-estate sector which is a vital economic element that influences investors’ trends and plans in the mid and long term.”

The Abu Dhabi Residents Office is committed to promoting Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector in the various local, regional, and international activities it takes part in, with the most recent of them being the promotional campaign launched by Aldar Properties in Cairo and London. Through this cooperation with Aldar, we will work to augment the reach of the Office’s strategic mission to increase the attractiveness of Abu Dhabi and to attract specialised talents to work, live, and thrive in the Emirate,” Al Mheiri added.

Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer at Aldar Development, said: “As Abu Dhabi’s leading property developer and a key partner for economic growth, Aldar is proud to be part of an initiative that reinforces the UAE’s position as a global destination of choice for residents, investors, entrepreneurs, the business community and talent alike. Since its formation, Aldar has established a wide network of investors, entrepreneurs, and top talent, ensuring it is at the forefront of Abu Dhabi’s growth story and a valuable partner for the Golden Visa programme.”

For foreign investors and top talent from around the world, Abu Dhabi offers the UAE Golden Visas, which grant them visas good for five to ten years and cover scientists, knowledge professionals, and researchers such as doctors, specialists, scientists, and innovators. Athletes, business owners, real estate investors, and creative and gifted people can also apply for visas. The Abu Dhabi Residents Office website is where those who want to apply for Golden Visas in Abu Dhabi can do so.

Aldar is in a good position to help ADRO attract and keep top talent and investors in the Emirate as one of Abu Dhabi’s major private sector employers with access to numerous domestic and international investors and entrepreneurs.

The company also has access to some of the most forward-thinking and ground-breaking entrepreneurs in the world through Aldar projects including ScaleUp, an international technology accelerator effort, and Manassah, a regional accelerator programme for creative retail companies. These initiatives are designed to entice business owners to invest in and establish operations in the UAE, and Aldar is supporting the application process for the Golden Visa on their behalf.
