Uptown Tower, Dubai's next skyscraper, needs just 80 metres more to reach its full height

Dubai: Dubai’s next skyscraper, Uptown Tower, has reached 260 metres, and 68 floors have been completed. Only 80 metres remain for the topping out.

In total, 8,500 panels will be installed once the façade work is completed, reaching level 45.

In addition, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works are underway, while the chilled water system has been connected to the power grid and the DEWA transformers have been installed.

The 78-story tower situated beside the JLT (Jumeirh Lake Tower) cluster will feature 188 luxury hotel rooms and suites, extensive conference facilities, Grade A offices, as well as 229 branded apartments. Uptown Dubai is part of the Uptown Dubai cluster developed by DMCC—the same company behind JLT. A LEED Gold Certified Building will also house DMCC’s Business Hub. The hotel and branded residence fit-out packages were awarded to Interiors International Industries LLC.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, said, “As the already iconic Uptown Tower inches closer towards completion, its status as the first super-tall tower in the district will only be matched by its value as a destination for businesses and residents who will benefit from its premium facilities.”
