Working in Dubai:

If you are caught with an illegal substance, you will be deported after serving four years in prison. Therefore, be sure to check the UAE Ministry of Health’s banned substance list before importing drugs to the UAE.

ID Card:

Everyone residing in the UAE is required to have a national identity card. The registration procedure and ID card requirements for ex-pats intending to work or live in the UAE can be found at www.eida.gov.ae.

Islamic Law (Sharia):

Until proven guilty, a person is presumed innocent under Sharia Law, just like under other legal systems. Both the plaintiff and defendant are equal in the court of the law. Apostasy, murder, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and theft are crimes that carry definite punishments under Islamic law.

So, if you want to work and live in Dubai, you are required to abide by the law of UAE.
