Unemployment Insurance in the UAE: How to Sign up on the Phone

The required Unemployment Insurance Scheme deadline is June 30, and while you can enrol in the programme online in just a few minutes, you also have the option to call in your application.

Through a variety of outlets, including the call centre of the insurance firm, employees can enrol in Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) insurance. Dubai Insurance manages the ILOE insurance pool, and there is a special call centre for members of the programme. The steps that you must take are listed below.

Step 1: Get in touch with the ILOE call centre – 600 599 555

Make sure you have your Emirates ID number and labour card number handy before making the call. The call centre will also need the other information listed below.

Dial 600 599 555 to reach the ILOE call centre, and then choose the option to talk with an agent.

Step 2: Provide your contact details and employment information

When you connect with the agent, you will be required to give the following information:

Step 3: Select your payment frequency

The call centre representative will be able to access your employment data, including your employer, salary, and work title, once you have provided them with the necessary information.

You will either fall into category A or B depending on your baseline pay.

After that, the agent will let you know what insurance premium you must pay based on your category. After that, you will be prompted to choose your payment frequency:

A monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual interval.

The ILOE representative will provide you with your insurance information and payment information when you have chosen your preferred method of payment. Scroll down in the email and click the green “Pay Now” button.

Step 4: Pay for the ILOE scheme

When you click the link, the ILOE payment portal will open, requiring you to input your credit or debit card information.

Following completion, ILOE Insurance will send you a confirmation email with your insurance certificate attached. Since the certificate is evidence that you have joined the programme, it is crucial to download it and keep it with you at all times. Additionally, it is the employee’s duty to see that the insurance instalments are paid on time, according to the certificate.

The entire process of signing up for unemployment insurance can take 10 to 15 minutes if you have all the necessary documentation with you.
