With the app ‘Expo 2020 Dubai’, which is designed for Android and Apple devices, you can buy tickets, view the event schedule, browse pavilions, but you can also create a custom Expo journey.
Getting started on the app
The first thing you will have to do is select the language you prefer – English or Arabic – after you have downloaded the app. Once you have done that, you will have to allow the app to track your location.
It is recommended that you sign up first so that you can keep track of your saved journeys. You can also use this account to book your tickets.
Follow these steps to register for Expo 2020 on the app:
- Launch the mobile app and tap the ‘My Profile’ icon to access the profile section.
- Click the orange ‘Log in or Register’ tab to begin.
- Type in your email address and click confirm.
- You will need to enter your full name and a password.
- You can activate your account by clicking on the email link you received.

Booking tickets on the app is easy, with all the options available, from season passes, to multiple-day passes, to family packs.
Pavilions
Over 200 pavilions are participating in Expo 2020 Dubai; you might wonder what each pavilion offers before you plan your visit. Using this app, you can view all Expo’s pavilions in alphabetical order, and you can tap each to see what Thematic District it’s in, what time it opens and what else to expect. A heart icon is also available for adding the page to your favorites.
Eating options
In addition to displaying all the outlets at Expo, it also shows information like distance from you (depending on whether your location settings are enabled), type of cuisine, restaurant hours, etc.
Events
There are a lot of events on the Expo calendar, so if you have trouble staying on top of the schedule, the app can help you learn about events based on dates, categories, or even ticket prices.
Create a personalized journey
The most interesting feature of the app, however, is that you can build your own journey around Expo 2020, based on your individual interests. In the app, you will be asked when you plan to visit, whether you will be visiting with family, friends, or by yourself, and what your interests are.
