EBS Advances with Steel Structure, Manufacture at Four Expo Structures

UAE-based steel manufacturer Emirates Building Systems(EBS), a fully-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, doing well with the completion of four Expo 2020 Dubai pavilions, where the company is providing steel structure installation and creation works for Kuwait, Russia, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan pavilions.

The worth of EBS’s work on the projects is more than $6.3m(AED23m). The company provided a total of more than 2400 MT of steel to deliver the engineering, fabrication, and erection works of the pavilions. Along the decking and accessories for the pavilions are provided by EBS.

EBS has provided products for the making of more than 18,500m2 of pavilion space, along with the part of its work on the pavilions.

Russia and The Kuwait pavilions cover an estimated area of more than 6,500m2 each, whereas Indonesia and Uzbekistan pavilions cover 3,200m2 and 2,300m2, respectively.

EBS has almost completed the work on the pavilions and given it to the respective developers, provided that some of the minor works are currently in progress on the site. The company is on its way to complete the structural works on-predefined time.

“Each pavilion is symbolic and represents a nation and a lot of planning has been integrated into the design elements,” said Joseph Chidiac, general manager of Emirates Building Systems. “Providing a solid structural framework to these pavilions is crucial in determining well-laid external facades along with enhancing the overall look and feel of the project.”
