With 2.5 million visitors in 2023, Expo Centre Sharjah unveils a rich 2024 calendar

The Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS) has released its 2024 annual events calendar, which includes 49 exhibitions and festivals scheduled to take place at its headquarters in Sharjah as well as its affiliate centers in Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid. Thus, ECS keeps up its groundbreaking work promoting the development of Sharjah’s exhibitions industry and offering cutting-edge platforms to meet the demands of the business community, the demands of the economy, and to accelerate trade, industry, tourism, and culture in Sharjah. The Emirate’s economy can be further diversified and its role in attaining sustainable development can be reinforced through the exhibitions held at the Center.

This year’s ECS calendar of events includes notable local, regional, and global gatherings like the Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show, the ACRES (Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition), Ramadan Nights, the National Career Exhibition, the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, the Sharjah International Book Fair, and numerous other exhibits focusing on important industries.

The UAE’s exhibition and conference industry, according to Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Expo Centre Sharjah and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has brought in profits for important sectors driving the country’s economic growth. These successes have raised the profile of ECS exhibitions and reinforced their contribution to economic diversification, growth, and stability. These elements of comprehensive revitalisation have elevated Sharjah to a competitive and elite destination for business, industry, and tourism.

The economies of the United Arab Emirates and the larger MENA region, according to Expo Centre Sharjah CEO Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, have learned to expect the significant momentum that ECS’s yearly events generate. The Center carefully considers the interests of various groups of people when planning these events, offering top-notch exhibitions ranging from government forums, book fairs, and art shows to real estate, industry, and retail events. The Center has effectively increased the number of its annual visitors to over 2.5 million by providing a wide range of event offerings. The Center’s strategy has been to plan and host exhibitions that satisfy the demands of the business community and the market, creating events that boost the financial performance of various industries, all while laying the foundation for its yearly schedule.

Expo Center The 19th edition of the SteelFab 2024 exhibition, which brought together well-known figures in the metalworking industries from 35 countries, marked the beginning of Sharjah’s 2024 events calendar. SteelFab took place from January 8–11, coinciding with the Arab Rubber Expo. From January 17–20, a prestigious new edition of the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACES) took place. The most recent Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 4, will round out this month’s schedule.

For those who enjoy taking pictures, February will also offer a unique opportunity: the Xposure International Photography Festival, which takes place from February 28 to March 5. Next up is Ramadan Nights, which opens to the public on March 21 and runs through April 10. After that, from April 18 to 21, there’s the UAE School and Nursery Show.

Expo Centre Sharjah will host the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival from May 1st to May 12th. Following this, families can enjoy Expo Culinaire, where chefs and bakers will entice guests with delectable creations from various international cuisines and attendees can stay up to date on the latest advancements in hospitality and tourism. The Hive Furniture Show follows, emphasizing furniture and interior design. The UAE China Tyres Show and the Jewels of Emirates Show will be the final events held by ECS in May.

The public can anticipate a new series of exhibitions and events in the second half of 2024, starting with the Eid Al Adha Exhibition on June 12–23. The International Government Communication Forum this year is scheduled for September 4 and 5, and it is open to everyone involved in government communication.

From September 25 to 29, fans can once again be thrilled by the newest creations in jewelry, watches, diamonds, and precious stones at the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, which is held twice a year. Following this, the public can anticipate the International Education Show from October 9–12 and the Emirates Perfumes and Oud Exhibition from October 4–13. October 15th is when ECS opens for the National Career Exhibition, which takes place through October 17th. The Center’s annual exhibition schedule will culminate with the Sharjah International Book Fair, which is scheduled to take place from November 6th to November 17th.

Meanwhile, Expo Al Dhaid’s 2024 calendar is packed with special events, notably, the Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition from the 18th to the 21st of January, followed by the Electronics Expo, Al Dhaid Dates Festival, Al Asayl Exhibition for horse, camel, and falcon services and equipment, another Al Dhaid Dates Festival, and the Adventure and Camping Exhibition.

In addition, Expo Khorfakkan has a packed schedule for 2024 that includes the following events: the Mango Festival; the Perfume Expo; the Eastern Bride Exhibition; the Ramadan and Eid Exhibition; the Khorfakkan Book Fair; the Khorfakkan Innovates Exhibition; Zehbat Ramadan Exhibition; the Ramadan Exhibition; and the Eid Al Adha Preparation Exhibition.
