UAE's Emaar announces free repair of rain-damaged homes

Emaar Properties announced on Friday that it would provide free repairs for all of the homes in its communities in Dubai that suffered from this week’s intense rains.

“In response to the challenges posed by this adverse weather and heavy rains that Dubai has experienced in the past few days, I am pleased to announce that Emaar will undertake the repair of all properties within our communities that have been damaged by the recent rains at its own cost to ensure that our residents can return to their daily lives as swiftly and smoothly as possible,” said Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties.

Thousands of people in Emaar’s communities have been severely impacted by the unusual rains, and this action aims to provide relief to them.

According to him, the developer has always made an effort to act responsibly and assist the community when needed.

“We undertake to provide all possible support in such situations including complete repair of our customers’ homes,” he said.

The founder of Emaar stated that the company’s facility management and community management employees have been on the ground, tirelessly helping customers day and night, since the intense rains started on Tuesday.

“The teams have been actively dealing with challenges, including clearing numerous water-clogging issues, and continue to work around the clock to provide solutions. Building on this dedicated effort, we are pleased to announce an initiative to repair all homes within our communities affected by the recent severe weather in Dubai, at no cost to residents,” said Alabbar.

The biggest master developer in the Emirates is Emaar Properties, situated in Dubai. The Valley, Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches, Emaar South, Dubai Hills Estate, Dubai Creek Harbour, Downtown Dubai, and Address Residences Zabeel.

Since 2002, Emaar has completed the delivery of about 108,000 residential units in Dubai and other international markets. With more than 8,700 keys, it owns and runs 34 hotels and resorts. Currently, Emaar’s retail, leisure, and hotel and retail subsidiaries account for 46% of its total revenue.

Among Emaar’s most valuable properties are the iconic Dubai Mall and the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa.
