According to the most recent data from the Dubai Statistics Centre, Dubai’s population has surpassed 3.6 million and is increasing by 1.43 percent per year as of 2023.

As of June 26, 2023, there were 3,600,879 people living in the emirate, up from 3,550,186 on December 31, 2023.

In comparison to March 31, 2022, when the population was 3,496,097, it increased by 2.3% to 3,575,962 as of March 31, 2023.

The population of Dubai was only 183,187 in 1975. The statistics center reports that it surpassed the three million barriers in 2018.

The population is expected to increase to 5.8 million people by 2040, according to Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan, which calls for expanding the emirate’s parks, green spaces, and other recreational places.

The goal of the plan is to enhance population density and the scope of development and investment to take advantage of the current infrastructure and services by meeting 80% of the daily needs of the people in 20 minutes or less by using soft mobility methods like walking, cycling, or riding a bike.

Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, stated that Dubai aimed to top the list of best cities to live in November 2022.
