Many new hotels that are scheduled to open in Dubai next year are among the many developments that are on the rise as the city’s tourism and real estate sectors continue to grow.
These are a few of the upscale hotel projects that will be accessible to the general public in 2019: Fairmont, Six Senses, Five, and more.
Five Luxe
A well-known brand in Dubai’s hospitality sector, the FIVE chain of hotels is about to expand its collection with the upcoming opening of FIVE LUXE (exact opening dates not yet announced).
This brand-new construction, which is part of Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), will have 222 rooms, 276 residential apartments, and seven restaurants.
In addition, there will be a social pool, beach club, Lío Ibiza dome, and a large 14,000-square-foot beach for guests to use.
Fairmont Dubai Skyline
Fairmont Dubai Skyline, which has been announced by developer RSG, will soon be a part of the city’s skyline as part of a five-year development plan worth AED5 billion ($1.4 billion).
Within a 226-meter-tall structure, the property will have 181 rooms, 121 apartments, and a complete floor penthouse suite spread across 54 stories.
There will be a fitness center, spa, infinity pool, golden lounge area, and more available to both residents and guests.
Mama Shelter Dubai
Apartments, hotel rooms, shops, restaurants, and more can be found in a mixed-use development with a hotel and residences.
Access to the infinity pool, leisure spaces, fitness centers, and more is available to both residents and visitors.
Apartments with one, two, and three bedrooms will be available at the development.
87 studios are available for a starting price of AED967,000 and above. The sizes of the studios range from 139 to 150 square meters.
There are 88 apartments with one bedroom that range in size from 199 to 205 square meters for those looking for one. Prices for these apartments begin at AED 1,484,000.
Despite being scarce—only 28—two-bedroom apartments provide generous living spaces with areas between 257 and 276 square meters. These two-bedroom residences have an initial cost of AED 2,181,000.
One&Only One Za’abeel
One&Only One Za’abeel, which is situated above Dubai Happiness Bridge, has 90 residential units in addition to 229 hotel rooms. Known as “Dubai’s vertical resort,” Nikken Sekkei designed the project to have two glass towers connected by “The Link.”
Numerous features and amenities are available to guests, such as bars and restaurants, a rooftop terrace, a banquet hall, a gym, a spa, and an observation deck.
“The Link” will also have 360-degree views, dining options, and leisure activities in addition to a pool.
The hotel will offer twelve different dining concepts, including French, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, and Andalusian cuisines.
A Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie, spanning three floors with customized programs and treatments, will also be part of the development.
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, a hotel in Jumeirah with a view of the Burj Al Arab, is soon to open. It was inspired by a super yacht.
In addition to offering amenities like restaurants, bars, spas, and wellness centers, the development will have 386 rooms and suites, four penthouses, and 83 luxury hotel apartment suites.
It was announced earlier this month that Dubai Sotheby’s International Realty sold two opulent penthouses in the renowned Marsa Al Arab development for a total of AED706 million ($192 million).
Six Senses Residences, The Palm
The ultra-luxury development of The Palm, which is being developed by Select Group in collaboration with Emirates Strategic Investments Company (ESIC) and is anticipated to be completed in 2024, is the Six Senses’ announcement of its UAE debut.
Situated on 1.2 million square feet on the Palm Jumeirah, the property will have 60 rooms along with more than 60,000 square feet of amenities, such as bars, restaurants, a kids’ club, a spa, and a library.
Nine distinctive beachfront villas, 32 sky villas, and 121 penthouses will all be managed by Six Senses within the development.
Mandarin Oriental Wasl Tower
The project will include 258 hotel rooms as part of Dubai’s second Mandarin Oriental Hotel and 64 stories with 229 residential units as part of the Wasl Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road.
A two-story spa, a rooftop sky bar, and other amenities like a Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop are also planned for the development.
With its Z-shaped design and traditional “contrapposto” movement, the tower can be faced in nearly any direction.
It is anticipated that the tower will be finished by Q2 2024.
