With 30 properties and more than 5,100 keys under development, global hospitality leader Radisson Hotel Group is increasing its presence in the Middle East as long as regional tourism continues to be robust.
“The Middle East remains a key focus with almost 90 hotels open or under construction. We thank our partners and owners for their continued trust in our 10 relevant brands and we look forward to further forging strong partnerships and creating a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group.
Regional tourism has grown consistently post-pandemic. However, rising hostilities between Israel and Lebanon may affect the region’s travel and hospitality industry.
With 58 hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments operating in the area, Radisson currently has 12,704 keys. The company has signed and launched 10 new hotels and serviced apartments in 2024, totaling 1,500 keys throughout the area, thereby strengthening its position in the Middle East.
Along with Prize by Radisson, it also intends to launch its brand’s art’otel in collaboration with important strategic investors.
With a concept inspired by the arts, Art’otel features a signature artist’s work on each property. These establishments serve as lively social centers for the neighborhood in addition to being tourist destinations. Radisson hopes to expedite this lifestyle brand’s launch in important cities by working closely with top investors.
The Group saw significant worldwide growth in the first half of 2024, with over 130 new signings and openings in important markets throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific.
The hotelier has agreements with partners in Madinah, Al Ahsa, Hail, and a third Riyadh Radisson Collection hotel. It is actively working to reach its goal of operating 100 hotels in Saudi Arabia by 2030, with 29 hotels currently in operation and 17 hotels under development. This will position it as a major player in the Kingdom’s expanding tourism and hospitality sector and help to diversify the economy and create jobs. Soon, more GCC signings and openings will be made public.
