The JIIC breaks ground on a 242-unit low rise community in Abu Dhabi

Jubail Terraces, a low-rise mixed-use community development in Abu Dhabi with 242 apartments and other important amenities, has officially broken ground with the help of leading UAE developers Jubail Island Investment Company (JIIC) and Lead Development.

These apartments at Jubail Terraces will be in a series of low-rise, low-impact blocks with a total of 23 retail units on the ground floor in each of the buildings and will be situated in some of the most picturesque settings in the UAE in Souk Al Jubail village, surrounded by mangroves and wildlife.

The project was named for the wide terraces that enable its residents to enjoy the natural surroundings and perspectives, according to the developers. It will be constructed with lovely neutral interiors.

The residential community will also include retail spaces, landscaped public gardens, parking, and gym facilities, offering residents and visitors a wide range of entertainment and lifestyle options. The properties will range from studios to three-bedroom apartments, as well as three-bedroom duplexes.

These elements will combine to form the centre of Jubail Island, together with the Marina neighbourhood, The Jubail Club, landscaping, and other facilities, they continued.

Construction General Contracting House (CGCH) has been given the AED 327 million ($89 million) building contract for the Jubail Terraces neighbourhood, which went on the market for purchase in February.

“We are delighted to have officially signed the contract with CGCH to create our newest and most accessible community to date – Jubail Terraces,” said Mounir Haidar, the Managing Partner of LEAD Development at the groundbreaking ceremony held today (April 13).

It will also be in charge of all auxiliary amenities as a major UAE contractor, while a worldwide consulting firm He said that Atkins had been working in a supervisory capacity.

Senior authorities, including Mounir Haidar, Managing Partner of LEAD Development, Abdulla Al Shamsi, Corporate Director of JIIC, and top CGCH executives Wahbi Mohamed El Wardani, CEO, and Mohammed Ahmad Dib, General Manager, attended the occasion.

“With continued market demand for uniquely designed and high-quality housing, the contract signing further reinforces JIIC’s commitment to developing a world-class landmark destination that is synonymous with luxury living and created with sustainability in mind,” noted Haidar.

The new low-rise and low-impact apartment towers, which are scheduled for completion in March 2025, will give potential residents even more options and flexibility in one of Jubail Island’s most prestigious and sought-after neighbourhoods, he continued.
