In H1 2023, Sharjah Sustainable City reported strong sales performance

Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), in collaboration with Diamond Developers, developed Sharjah Sustainable City, the first sustainable master-planned residential community, which has announced strong sales results for the first half of 2023, further establishing its position as the region’s top sustainable developer.

Launched at Acres 2023, the project’s fourth and final phase is the result of an overwhelmingly positive response to its first three phases. The first two, which each had 604 large and contemporary villas, are now completely sold out, and phase 3’s availability is now very limited with 90% of the villas having been sold.

Since its introduction in May, 35% of the 324 units in phase 4—which offer appealing 3-bedroom villas starting at AED 1.7 million—have been purchased, and additional demand has been noted.

The strong sales record has been fueled by a thorough grasp of the UAE real estate market, providing residents with a distinctive and exclusive experience that combines eco-friendly features, cutting-edge amenities, and a vibrant community. The properties in Sharjah Sustainable City offer the best of both worlds: an appealing and future-proof investment that also offers a sustainable way of living and a high standard of living. They feature magnificent designs, large layouts, and cutting-edge smart home and energy management technologies.

Commenting on the project’s success, Yousif Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Sustainable City, said, “The overwhelming success of Sharjah Sustainable City reflects our commitment to offering desirable properties with excellent amenities for an attractive price, as well as a shift in appetite towards green homes with eco-conscious customers who are looking to integrate sustainable living practices into every aspect of their lifestyles. The warm reception we have received in Sharjah’s real-estate market demonstrates that investors and homebuyers in the UAE now expect far more from their property purchases than just a living space – they desire a way of living that is compatible with the needs and aspirations of the future generations to come.”

The full handover of Phase 1 to homeowners, which marked the city’s transformation from a real estate project into an active community with hundreds of families now enjoying their new sustainable homes and the many advantages they offer – both environmental and financial – was one of the city’s most significant milestones of 2022.

This accomplishment was timed to the start of the project management team’s sustainable community engagement program, which aims to promote a completely sustainable way of life by educating locals on all aspects of eco-friendly living, including urban farming, landscaping, native wildlife, biodiversity, waste reduction and recycling, and more.

The “Discover Your Urban Farm” campaign, which was part of the program’s launch in February, gave Sharjah Sustainable City residents access to Agri Pods so they could cultivate their own plants or veggies. Initiatives showcasing local animals, the need for trash segregation, and the value of recycling came next.

To build a Net-Zero community that offers an aspirational lifestyle in harmony with the welfare of future generations, the initiative is collaborating with its residents.
