The Municipal Councils of Kalba and Al-Dhaid cities have inked a memorandum of cooperation with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD).
To streamline processes for real estate clients in both cities, the electronic services will enable questions about real estate data as part of Sharjah’s digital transformation strategy.
In the presence of Abdul Aziz Rashid Al-Saleh, Director of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and several other officials, the memorandum was signed by Dr. Obaid Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Kalba Municipal Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al-Ketbi, Chairman of the Al Dhaid Municipal Council, and Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department.
Under this memorandum, customers in Kalba and Al-Dhaid Municipalities can view and request real estate data via the electronic service (Web Service). This will eliminate the need for customers in both cities to travel to SRERD’s building to obtain a property statement certificate directly from the municipal council building.
In addition, the Department will furnish the two Municipal Councils with a comprehensive elucidation of the system’s operation upon receipt of the names of officials and staff whom the Councils deem suitable, since they will be submitting electronic requests for property inquiries to SRERD.
According to Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, the E-linking projects will offer an integrated business system that will entice investors to take advantage of the numerous, bright growth prospects in Sharjah real estate and to quickly and easily obtain real estate services away from centralization. This will save time and effort and improve the quality of real estate services offered in the city.
Moreover, he pointed out that “The number of electronic certificates for benefiting and inquiring about properties for entities with which cooperation agreements were signed had reached 14,000 Until the end of August 2024, which means that the department was able, through this service, to shorten the procedure time for a large number of clients and beneficiaries.”
