During the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition – Acres 2025, investors and end users wishing to purchase and sell real estate in Sharjah will receive a 50% reduction on government costs.
During the exhibition, which will take place at the Sharjah Expo Centre from January 22 to 25, buyers and sellers will only pay a two percent registration and transaction fee rather than a four percent one, according to Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
He went on to say that the freehold regulations and the 50% registration fee reduction for purchasing and selling properties during the four-day show are the main reasons the show keeps growing every year.
“These kinds of offers attract new investors, end-users and exhibitors. Sharjah has seen launches of so many new projects by Arada, Alif, IFA and others that didn’t exist before. Demand has also increased after freehold was introduced in Sharjah a few years ago,” said Al Suwaidi.
The Sharjah Executive Council’s (SEC) decision to lower the sale and purchase costs for transactions that will be carried out at Acres 2025 will be crucial in luring more businesses to invest in Sharjah, according to Jamal Al Shawish, head of sales and marketing at IFA Hotels & Resorts.
The director of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD), Abdulaziz Rashid Al Saleh, disclosed that the number of registered transactions increased significantly in the previous edition of the show, with real estate deals valued at over Dh1.4 billion.
He emphasized that there are significant advantages for all participants, which is why the organizing committee decided to increase the exhibition area this year in order to accommodate the growing number of real estate firms who are keen to take part.
This year, the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition – Acres is expected to reach a record-breaking attendance of over 110 exhibitors, including first-time attendees as well as prominent real estate development and investment firms and premier property developers from throughout the United Arab Emirates and the region.
The 10,000-square-meter exhibition, which is organized by SCCI and SRERD, will feature a range of real estate projects and investment opportunities, including land parcels, residential, commercial, and industrial properties, as well as finished or ongoing hotel and hospitality development projects.
