The opening of South Bay Mall, situated in the center of the Dubai South Residential District, was announced by Dubai South Properties, the real estate division of the Dubai South master development.
According to Dubai South Properties, construction on the mall is anticipated to start soon, and more information, such as the opening date and tenant announcements, would be revealed later.
According to the firm, the project aims to improve community life while providing people with a variety of dining, retail, and recreational alternatives.
The mall will be over 200,000 square feet in size over three floors, with rooftop terraces with views of the lagoon and outdoor walkways, according to Dubai South Properties. According to the organization, the design aims to provide guests with a tranquil and picturesque setting.
Wide range of facilities planned
South Bay Mall will have a premium food hall, two anchor stores, and sixty retail locations. The facility will also have extra amenities like a gym, spa, clinic, clubhouse, and parking for around 400 cars.
The mall has been designed to create a “vibrant and convenient” hub for the Dubai South community, which at the moment lacks community spaces. “South Bay Mall will become the heart of a lively neighbourhood, bringing together shopping, wellness, and leisure experiences,” the statement added.
Integrated community experience
The mall is a part of the larger South Bay development, which also consists of over 200 beachfront mansions, more than 800 villas and townhouses, and a kilometer-long lagoon encircled by parks and promenades. The project as a whole has been characterized as a fully integrated community with an emphasis on connectivity and well-being.
The unveiling was “an important step” in the developer’s quest to build a completely linked city, according to Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South. According to him, the program is in line with Dubai South’s goal of creating thriving, human-centered communities that are built for sustained expansion.
