Lacina, the second phase of Ghaf Woods, sold out, according to Majid Al Futtaim, a prominent shopping mall, communities, retail, and leisure pioneer in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Ghaf Woods, the city’s first forest-dwelling community, was introduced earlier this year and offers a peaceful living environment distinguished by abundant greenery, improved connection, and unparalleled sustainability.
The neighborhood will be built in eight stages, with completion scheduled for 2031, and will cover 738,000 square meters off the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Highway, next to Global Village.
The second phase, Lacina, sold out in record time, highlighting Dubai’s rising need for peaceful yet connected, outdoor living areas.
Ahmed El Shamy, CEO, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, said: “With Ghaf Woods, we are setting a new benchmark for sustainable, nature-integrated living in Dubai. The exceptional response to Lacina, reaffirms the growing demand for communities that prioritise environmental harmony and elevated living experiences.”
“This milestone highlights the trust and confidence the market places in Majid Al Futtaim’s ability to deliver visionary, high-quality destinations that redefine urban living. It reflects our unwavering commitment to creating communities that seamlessly blend sustainability, connectivity, and an unparalleled quality of life,” he stated.
The newest stage of the development, he claims, is a haven where nature enhances people’ everyday lives and provides a well-rounded, creative living environment enhanced by carefully chosen amenities.
According to him, these comprise the three signature pavilions: Ripple, Breeze, and Rustle.
With a gym, game room, children’s play spaces, and a swimming pool, the Rustle Pavilion has been created to encourage an active yet calm lifestyle.
While the Ripple Pavilion encourages social interaction and concentrated participation, the Breeze Pavilion provides peaceful areas for peaceful moments or lively eating experiences. A bike station, a children’s playground, pet-friendly facilities, and a lawn area are extra features.
According to Majid Al Futtaim, the community would have a forest of 35,000 climate-appropriate trees, including the Ghaf, which will outnumber inhabitants and act as a crucial “Green Lung” that offers 20% cleaner air and five degrees Celsius cooler temperatures than the city average.
Access to Ghaf Woods’ extensive facilities, including nearby multipurpose courts, a sports and activities park, a skate park, eight kilometers of walking trails, and an exhilarating 3.5-kilometer mountain bike loop, will also be advantageous to Lacina residents, it continued.
