The first freehold houses are being introduced at Dubai Design District (also known as d3), which has proven to be quite attractive for boutique workplaces.
At d3, the master-developer Meraas will debut the first phase of “Design Quarter,” which will include 558 units spread over three towers with floors ranging from G+10 to G+43. Beginning this year, construction will be finished by May 2027.
“Developing the first residential offering at d3 naturally aligns with our vision to design spaces in places for people to experience and love life, as we introduce the concept of creative living for a community,” said Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate. “With Design Quarter, we continue to fulfill our commitment to create and consistently deliver world-class residential real estate projects and master developments that strengthen Dubai’s position as the global real estate investment destination of choice.”
Recently, businesses in the creative and design industries and “New Economy” entities have begun to favor d3’s office and retail spaces as their top choices.
The yearly events Dubai Design Week, Dubai Fashion Week (formerly Arab Fashion Week), and Sole DXB are all held in d3, one of Tecom Group’s portfolio of clusters.
As their initial phases are finished and handovers advance, quickly growing residential and mixed-use developments off Shaikh Zayed Road are becoming fairly popular with real estate investors.
