Dubai South Properties awards $408 million contract to Al Kharafi Construction

Al Kharafi Construction Company has been given a contract worth AED 1.50 billion by Dubai South Properties to construct the third, fourth, and fifth stages of the South Bay project.

According to a press release, the company started the fourth phase of the project, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter (Q1) of 2027.

There will be 138 units in the fourth phase, which will consist of five seven-bedroom mansions and a limited number of three-, four-, and five-bedroom villas.

Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, said: “We are confident that the expertise of the appointed contractor will help us realise this project, which will be an ideal option for those seeking quality living with world-class amenities.”

“The sell-out of each phase upon launching onto the market exemplifies South Bay’s uniqueness. At Dubai South, our mandate is to develop projects that cater to the demand for premium residences and enrich the lifestyles of residents,” Al Kindi added.

He noted: “We will continue with our well-studied approach of launching projects that add value to our discerning customers and we are confident that our new development will create huge interest among investors.”

South Bay is situated next to Expo Road in the residential district of Dubai South. Approximately 800 villas and townhouses, 200 lavish waterfront mansions, a lagoon spanning one kilometer, over three kilometers of a waterfront promenade replete with cafes, and numerous beaches are all planned features of the project.

Among the other amenities of the project are a clubhouse, cutting-edge fitness centers, verdant parks, a retail center, a renowned spa, kids’ clubs, waterparks, swimming pools, a lake park, and private beaches.

Plans to build Grade A logistics facilities at Dubai South’s Logistics District were announced earlier in April by Aldar Properties and Dubai South.
