Dubai's property damaged by heavy rains….There is now a WhatsApp support number

Residents of Dubai who were impacted by the storm can now use WhatsApp to get in touch with the authorities for assistance with property damage from the rain.

This is in response to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s directive to the relevant authorities to prepare for severe weather.

By these directives, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment’s Executive Director, Omar Hamad Bushahab, formed a committee to review all requests from impacted residents and decide how to proceed, “giving priority to maintaining all their damaged homes and restoring them.”

On the WhatsApp app, a number (0583009000) has been set aside to take support requests from impacted citizens.

He continued by saying that all requests for assistance from residents affected by the rain will be handled by the Committee for the Care of Affected People in Dubai, which is made up of representatives from various emirate authorities.

To speed up the return of routine to all areas of the emirate, the committee will give priority to the upkeep and restoration of the homes of all impacted citizens.

To guarantee that all of their areas within the emirate resume normalcy in the upcoming days, Sheikh Hamdan has also instructed the Dubai Land Department and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency to work in tandem with real estate developers and residential complex management companies in Dubai.

These authorities reaffirmed their pledge to offer a variety of services to individuals impacted by the situation at no extra cost. These services include finding alternate housing for affected parties, supplying food to affected residents in residential complexes, and sterilizing and controlling pests.
