Dubai Investments breaks ground on residential and hotel towers in RAK

In the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai Investments has begun construction on a residential and hotel tower project. The project spans 90,000 square meters and includes 40,000 square meters of beaches with 189 villas.

The major construction on Danah Bay, Al Marjan Island, is costing AED 1 billion ($272 million), and it includes the 4-star Grand Millennium Resort and the Danah Bay Residential Tower.

According to a statement from Dubai Investments, the 89-meter-tall Danah Bay Residential Tower will have 143 units, including opulent penthouses and apartments with one to four bedrooms.

The tower promises residents a tranquil haven with its unique wavy, glazed façade and stunning sea views. It also offers direct beach access and proximity to the upscale Grand Millennium resort, according to the statement.

It also stated that the 300-room, 4-star Grand Millennium resort will upend expectations for hospitality with its wide range of features, which include restaurants, meeting spaces, a private beach club, a spotless beach, a revitalizing spa, and cutting-edge fitness centers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Obaid Salami, General Manager of Dubai Investment Real Estate, the developer of the project and the real estate arm of Dubai Investments, said: “We have commenced the enabling works for the residential and the hotel tower at Danah Bay, Al Marjan Island and this ground-breaking ceremony today, signifies the formal start of construction activities on-site.”

“Breaking ground on the Danah Bay residential tower and the hotel marks another development within the project, setting new benchmarks in urban development,” he stated.

He says that the group’s goal of integrating opulent residential areas into a mixed-use area is linked to Dubai Investments’ belief in Ras Al Khaimah as a future place to live, play, and explore all at once.

He said that the emirate has a lot of potential and that Danah Bay on Al Marjan Island will be crucial to turning it into a popular beach resort and community.

In 2023, Danah Bay started its construction journey and quickly became known as a luxury lifestyle destination that drew interest from both domestic and foreign investors.

Three-bedroom, three-plus-bedroom, and four-bedroom villas are part of the project’s Phase I.

According to Dubai Investments, Phase 1 construction has been moving forward gradually and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

Phase 2 is anticipated to be completed by Q2 2025 and consists of two-bedroom townhouses and villas with four, five, and more bedrooms.

Phase 3 of the project, which includes the residential and hotel towers, will, according to the developer, further increase Danah Bay’s appeal as a top Ras Al Khaimah destination.

Salami stated that Danah Bay had become a symbol of the high-end lifestyle, drawing in discriminating consumers with its allure of unmatched coastal living.

“The overwhelming response, with the tower generating excellent sales even before construction completion, mirrors the trust and assurance the market retains in the Dubai Investments brand,” said the top official.

The residential tower and hotel are expected to be completed by Q3 2026 and Q3 2027, respectively, and the construction goals for Danah Bay are on schedule, he continued.
