Chelsea Football Club and Dubai luxury property developer Damac Properties announced on Wednesday that they teamed up around the world to build their first housing project in football.
The Chelsea Residence from Damac, a noble development in Dubais Maritime City, is the focus of a long-term relationship with over 1,400 residential units with views from the ocean and Chelsea brand focused on health, exercise and happiness.
As part of the contract, Damac’s logo will be featured on Chelsea’s men’s team shirt for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, making his debut with Jurugan in the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.
This partnership is a major expansion of Chelsea FC’s global brand presence, particularly in the Middle East, with Damac establishing himself as a leading luxury property developer over the past 20 years.
“This launch marks the first of an elite collection that celebrates not just the passion of Chelsea FC but its enduring legacy, innovative spirit and relentless pursuit of excellence,” said Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of Sales & Development of DAMAC Properties. “This initiative goes beyond celebrating the beautiful game; it sets a new benchmark for those who expect nothing less than the exceptional, every time.”
The plan intends to incorporate Chelsea FC’s brand with the property’s design and services. According to the release, the club’s “renowned brand” would be “woven into the fabric” of the house, from its concierge service to high-performance spaces, reflecting “the very best of Chelsea FC, both in terms of high-end style, commitment to excellence, and future vision.”
“DAMAC are world-renowned in building luxury properties, and we are thrilled to be working with the industry leader to bring to market a first of its kind branded Chelsea FC residence in Dubai. With the club located in the heart of London, the collaboration will bring Chelsea to life in Dubai, supporting our continued growth on the global stage,” said Jason Gannon, President and COO of Chelsea Football Club.
Established in 2002, DAMAC Properties delivered over 48,000 homes in the Middle East and internationally with an additional 50,000 planning and development phases. The company previously worked with luxury brands such as Versace, Roberto Cavalli and de Grisogono on its brand living projects. Damac’s Chelsea residence is expected to replace it on the Dubai skyline. However, the announcement does not provide specific details regarding the construction time bar and pricing.
