Aldar unveils ‘The Wilds,’ its third residential community in Dubai

The Abu Dhabi-based master developer will emphasize green spaces and natural surroundings at The Wilds.

Aldar The Wilds

Dubai: Master-developer Aldar has launched its third residential community, The Wilds, in Dubai, and the design is based on a lot of green and other natural settings, as the name suggests. The project is located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, opposite Global Village.

The Abu Dhabi company emphasizes that while building the homes that comprise The Wilds, it will ensure the “safe integration and retention” of a variety of species. Also, make sure to include a “selection of native plants within a woodland sanctuary.”

The Wilds “will become the most sought-after green development in the emirate,” according to Jonathan Emergy, CEO of Aldar Development.  It is a “place where people and nature will live and grow together, where children are encouraged to be curious in an environment that will not only nurture their health, well-being, and development, but also help them understand their responsibility to protect the environment for future generations.”

Aldar now has multiple projects and investments in Dubai, including two residential communities, the ‘Haven’ and ‘Athlon’.

The Wilds will feature approximately 1,700 homes, including 5- and 6-bedroom mansions designed by Lebanese architect Nabil Gholam. “Every home is surrounded by eco corridors and green spaces that provide privacy within nature,” said a statement.

An upmarket residential area

The Wilds’ proposed location lends itself to a serene and upscale residential environment. It will be located near the Albarari, one of Dubai’s legacy freehold developments.

The Wilds’ 3-bedroom villas start at Dh5.1 million, with more premium options priced between Dh10 million and Dh11 million.

Formal sales of the units start February 27 at the Coca-Cola Arena Dubai.

The Wilds will also feature an international school. The campus will include outdoor learning spaces, which are consistent with the master development theme, as well as eco-friendly facilities.

Aldar’s previous two residential projects in Dubai sold quickly, thanks to investor interest in sprawling community-themed off-plan options. According to brokers, the pricing appealed to a younger demographic of property buyers.

Aldar and Dubai Holding partnered to create all three community projects.

In addition to the residences, The Wilds will feature a pond and dry stream habitats, ‘with duck houses seamlessly blending into water streams’. Manmade bird nests and bee-keeping zones will also be established throughout the community.
