Al Habtoor Tower, Dubai's new skyscraper, launches sales - prices start at Dh 2.1 million

Sales have begun for Dubai’s 345-meter-tall Al Habtoor Tower, which will join the ranks of other residential towers once it is finished.

The project, which is worth Dh3.7 billion, is situated next to the Dubai Water Canal on Sheikh Zayed Road. The 82-story building will include 1,701 residential units, including 22 sky villas, and a built-up area of 327,000 square meters. The sky villas start at Level 76.

Apartments with one bedroom start at Dh2.1 million, two bedrooms start at Dh3.5 million, while three bedrooms cost Dh4.7 million. The cost of the sky homes has not yet been disclosed.

“There are people who wanted to buy the entire building – we said no,” said Mohammed Khalaf Al Habtoor, the Vice-Chairman and CEO of Al Habtoor Group.

There are Infinity pools and recreation decks on the three amenity floors (8th, 47th, and 70th). A 270-degree outdoor and separate indoor tranquility pool will be on the eighth story.

“We’re hoping for a three-year handover,” said Thomas Murdoch, Deputy General Manager of Al Habtoor Real Estate. “We are already at around the 10-11 percent mark. We are not worried about supply chain challenges either – we trust our contractor to get the job done.”

China Railway 18th Bureau Group Ltd. won the contract a little over three weeks ago after competing against ten other companies.

“There’s been a large number of expressions of interest, confirmed pre-bookings from exclusive partners, and those that got ahead of the game,” said Murdoch. “The job now is to finish those and move on to the public sales.”

Al Habtoor said: “With all the retail and recreational facilities on offer, Al Habtoor Tower will be a vertical city within Al Habtoor City. This interest reflects the strong demand for Al Habtoor Group’s brand and maturity of Dubai’s residential property market.”
