A Dh7 billion projects in Abu Dhabi will build 1,742 villas for residents

The West Baniyas and Al Samha districts of Abu Dhabi will see the construction of up to 1,742 homes for people at a cost of more than Dh7 billion, it was revealed on Wednesday.

According to the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, the Al Samha project would include 242 villas while the West Baniyas residential complex will have 1,500 villas.

The West Baniyas project would also include 14 commercial buildings and eight mosques. The project is anticipated to be finished by Q2 2027 and will have cost more than Dh6.3 billion to construct on a land area of 584.7 hectares.

Two mosques as well as a variety of retail spaces will be part of the Al Samha project. The project, which will cost more than Dh734 million to construct, will be built on 53.4 hectares of land and should be finished by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and Q Holding PJSC have agreed to two contracts for the development of these projects.

Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: “The signing of the contracts for the development of West Baniyas and Al Samha housing projects comes to implement the vision of our leadership to ensure stability and social wellbeing for citizens, through the development of integrated and sustainable housing communities that meet the needs of citizens and their families.”
