Sharjah's Real Estate Registration Department completed the campaign to update property owner's data

SHARJAH- The Real Estate Registration Department in Sharjah has reported the conclusion of its campaign, launched incorporation with Sharjah’s District and Villages Affairs Department, to update landowners’ data in the real estate sector in different areas of Sharjah.

The campaign, which ran from March 28th to 29th May, focused on all the real estate owners in Sharjah, having citizens, residents, and investors of different nationalities, and mainly focused on protecting the rights of landowners and updating their data.

Furthermore, it tried to tackle the issue of similarity in names which may defer a few transactions. Accordingly, and as an answer, owners’ names will be linked with their ID number to keep away from any names’ similarities, to work with the methodology for the department’s clients, and to guarantee the privileges, everything being equal, and workers in the land area in Sharjah.

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Department, commended the success of the campaign and praised the extraordinary participation by the District & Villages Affairs Department represented by its chairman, Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, and each of its employees for their full cooperation, saddling all the capabilities of the department, and for opening the doors of rural boards in different regions to the landowners all through the past period, which towards the end resulted in the success of the campaign.

Al Shamsi said that the number of landowners who participated in the campaign touched the number of about 2,100, whereas the number of property deeds that had been updated touched about 5,000 bonds provided to over the different areas and regions of the emirate.
