Want a smooth airport journey in Dubai? Check out these things you can carry in your handbag

With international travel gathering up steam, you should expect long lines at security clearance if you’re flying. It is critical to observe the airport safety requirements when it comes to what you can and cannot bring in your luggage and hand-carry onboard to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey.

Dubai Airport used social media to inform travelers on what they can put in their hand luggage and what they should avoid. The following are the specifics:

Liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs)

If you’re transporting a liquid, spray, or gel, make sure it’s in a transparent, resealable bag that’s no bigger than 20×20 cm.

There is also a limit to how much LAG you can transport. Individual containers should not exceed 100ml, and the overall volume of LAG should not exceed one liter, according to Dubai Airport. Medication and infant milk or food are exceptions to this rule.

Medicine

If you’re carrying medication, make sure it’s in its original packaging and that the prescriptions are within easy reach.

Passengers should take electronic goods and liquids out of their bags and place them on the tray at security clearance, and make sure they have recovered all of their items from the tray, according to the video.

What should one not carry in their bag?

Here are the prohibited items stated by Dubai Airport in the video:

Steer clear of prohibited goods

Apart from the above-mentioned list of items to avoid carrying in your handbag, it’s also vital to remember the list of prohibited goods provided by Dubai Customs. Any products that are forbidden from being imported or exported under the terms of the GCC’s Common Customs Law or any other regulation or law that applies in the UAE are considered prohibited commodities.
