Waiting for your Emirates ID physical copy? Find out how to track it online

In the event that your Emirates Identity Card has been renewed or issued, you will need to collect it from an Emirates Post office near you or you may opt to have it delivered directly to your home or office.

In the meantime, you can track the delivery status of your Emirates ID on the Emirates Post website – emiratespost.ae or through their official app – ‘Emirates Post,’ available for all Apple and Android devices.

Is it possible to track the delivery of my Emirates ID?

After you have completed the Emirates ID application process and it has been approved by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), it will be sent to be printed.

According to u.ae, the UAE’s official web portal, once the ID is printed, you will receive an email and SMS, informing you of the expected delivery date and ID’s tracking number for Emirates Post. You can pick up your package at the post office stated in ICP’s SMS or email.

2. In the SMS notification, enter the tracking number and click on the blue tab labeled, ‘Track’
3. The timeline for your shipment will be displayed next. This will show when the physical copy of the Emirates ID card was delivered to the post office and when it is available for collection.

1. Install the mobile application from the iOS Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
2. Tap on ‘Track Shipment’ under the ‘Quick Actions’ category
3. Follow the steps on the website and you will see the timeline of your Emirates ID’s shipment.

If you do not collect your new Emirates ID card within 90 days of its arrival at the post office, it will be returned to ICA and destroyed.

You can obtain a digital copy of the ID while you are waiting for the printed cards. ICP announced in June 2021 the start of the first phase of issuing a new electronic version of the Emirates Identity Card.
