Using the Digital Sharjah application to access all Sharjah government services

Residents and citizens of Sharjah can now access almost every public and private service through the Digital Sharjah app, with over 40 services available at their fingertips. You can now pay your Sewa bill, traffic fine, or top up your phone credit online from the convenience of your home or office.

What is Digital Sharjah?

Sharjah’s government services are being digitized at the direction of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. The Sharjah Digital Office (SDO) launched the app on Wednesday, November 24.

The app is available on both Android and Apple devices.

Also, a dedicated website is available – ds.sharjah.ae.

The app has sections for residents, citizens, and visitors. These sections include services relevant to each group.

What services are available on Digital Sharjah?

Among the 41 essential services, there are seven categories:

  7. Security

The Digital Sharjah app offers almost every government service in the emirate, whether you’re checking the weather or reserving a trading name.

Digital Sharjah offers the following services:

Pay Sewa, phone bills, and traffic fines

Have you got a phone or electric bill to pay or a traffic fine to pay? The following payments can be made through the app and website:

The Etisalat bills recharges, and Sewa bills fall under the Utility category, while the traffic violations and municipal vehicle violations fall under Transport.

Transportation by Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority

Providing information about all modes of transport from taxis to flight information, this category is essential for drivers and frequent users of public transportation. The following services are available:

Book a taxi: We offer a variety of taxi services, including regular taxis, family taxis, ladies’ taxis, taxis for People of Determination, and limousines.

Flight status: From Sharjah International Airport, you can view flight schedules, flight status, and other updates.

Al Diyafa Service: With this service, travelers can get a VIP experience at Sharjah Airport with access to an exclusive lounge.

Lost and found: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority is responsible for reporting and reclaiming lost items.

Road complaint: Report a damaged or unsafe road.

Social Support

The Sharjah Social Services Department offers welfare and protection services for UAE citizens who are elderly or mentally ill, as well as UAE citizens who are People of Determination.

RAHMA (home nursing): Those who are elderly, People of Determination, or permanent residents of Sharjah who fall under the low-income category can request home nursing or mental health care.

Home care request: This is for UAE citizens who are 60 years or older, People of Determination, or mentally ill. Users can apply for health, social, and mental home care packages.

Report Child Abuse: You can use this service to report child abuse and protect children’s rights.

Request for Social Aid Statement: All registered customers of Sharjah’s Social Service Department can request a ‘To whom it may concern’ certificate.

Volunteer Registration Request: Sign up as a volunteer at the Sharjah Centre for Volunteers.

Request for Court Statement: It is a service that is available to all customers receiving social assistance.

Prayer timings, weather

In addition to accessing public and private services, you can check the weather and prayer timings.

Security by Sharjah Police

Through the app and online platform, you can report and submit violence and abuse complaints.

Services for Sharjah businesses

If you are a new entrepreneur, you can start running your business through the Sharjah Economic Development Department’s online platform. A business can find all the services it needs in the category of ‘Business’.

Register New Investor: Registration of a new investor in Sharjah.

Reserve a Trade Name: This service allows investors to reserve a trade name for their business.

Search for Licence: Find out about the specific trade licenses.

Renew Reservation of Trade Name: A reserved trading name can be renewed by investors.

Social Bundle: You can find registered companies by searching online.

Print investor licenses’ report request: A physical copy of the license report can be obtained by investors.

Consumer protection complaint: Complaints about Consumer Protection are welcome.

Service agent complaint: Submit a complaint regarding a service agent.

Estimate Licence fees: An investor can estimate the value of license issuance fees or renewal fees.

Commercial fraud complaint – trademarks: Users can file complaints related to commercial fraud – trademarks.
