Update your UAE visa details and get your Emirates ID

If you require an update to your UAE residence visa, whether it be due to a name change, a need to modify the occupation listed on the visa, or any other reason, you can easily have your residence visa amended and obtain your updated Emirates ID by applying for the service through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP).

This convenient service is accessible online via the ICP website, providing applicants with the opportunity to make adjustments to their current passport information or even change their nationality if they acquire a new one. The process is as following:

ICP website

  1. To access the public visa services, please visit smartservices.icp.gov.ae and select ‘Public Visa Services’ from the menu.
  2. Once you have reached the page, proceed by clicking on ‘Modification of Current Visa’.
  3. You can then choose from one of the three options:
    • Passport information
